Traveling to make a difference
So many people spend so much of there time unaware of the world that carries on around them. I may not have noticed this when I was young, going on family vacations all over the States, but looking back now I know that was the beginning of my journey. The spark that got the flame burning hot again was my trip to Ireland back in 2005. And its been a firestorm of travel ever since.
I found that the more I traveled the more it was making a difference in who I was as a person. My eyes were open to much more than what was just in front of me. It was everything. And from the old men at the bar in a small pub in Doolin Ireland to the incredible family that took me in on Christmas in Eldorado Park South Africa; I've learned that my travels are not just about growth in myself, but the differences I can make in someone else's life. So until I can't carry myself any further, I travel. Upcoming events- Celebrating the birthday this weekend with some time down in Kentucky climbing hopefully. Come on warm weather.
- Hoping to take the time soon to take dance lessons to finally become less graceful on the dance floor. Some salsa or mambo should do it.
- Up to Kent, OH to see my buddy Dan for this Match day. It just so happens to fall on St. Patricks day this year. Should be a great time. Finally finishing up the Med school stuff.
- Hopefully with warmer weather my training and climbing will be taking place outside more often.
